At around 12.20am on Sunday, August 2, an officer on patrol came across damage to a dinosaur exhibit that was on display outside the Regent Centre. The installation had been significantly damaged overnight, with its head sawn off and stolen. Christchurch BID’s Roarsome Dinosaur Trail invites visitors to collect a trail booklet and explore the area in search of different dinosaur installations. Officers are now investigating the incident of criminal damage and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
