ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A few storms in northeastern New Mexico could turn strong or severe, while heat concerns continue for Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Belen, Socorro and Española.
Damaging downburst winds, isolated large hail and frequent lightning are the main threats with storms in northeastern New Mexico.
The forecast changes very little Thursday, and another heat advisory covers many of the same areas as Wednesday.
The greatest heat concerns include Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Belen, Socorro and Española.
A few storms could bring strong wind gusts or small hail, but the overall severe weather threat appears lower.
