Emergency services were called to a house fire on Eagles Lane, Little Downham, at around 6pm on Friday (July 31). A woman aged in her 60s were pronounced dead at the scene, Cambridgeshire Police confirmed in an update. "There have been no arrests and the fire is believed to be non-suspicious," a spokesperson for the force said. A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service added: "Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. "Sadly, a casualty died at the scene.
