Three people have been charged following a series of armed robberies that began in Little Red River and ended with a police pursuit and arrests near the same community. The following day, La Ronge RCMP received a report that three armed suspects assaulted two people and stole their truck on Highway 2 south of La Ronge. RCMP deployed a tire deflation device in Little Red River, bringing the pursuit to an end. As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Brandon Corrigal of Sturgeon Lake First Nation, 22-year-old Acotia Bradfield of La Ronge, and 27-year-old Kara Halkett of Little Red River are facing numerous charges. Prince Albert RCMP were assisted by Waskesiu RCMP, Police Dog Services, the Crime Reduction Team, the Saskatchewan RCMP Serious Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Services.
