CENTRAL HURON – The mayor’s chair is up for grabs in Central Huron, and Deputy Mayor Marg Anderson is looking to take it.
“I’ve been a councillor for several years … in the last election, I ran for deputy mayor because I believe in making sure you do the background work,” she said.
Anderson sees this as her next step, after she learned that incumbent Mayor Jim Ginn will not seek re-election.
When asked how this term has been different from the others, Anderson mentioned the increase in responsibility for her new role on Huron County’s council.
Even before her time on council, Anderson always pursued self-education on community matters.
