The late, great Marvelous Marvin Hagler once named the best opponent of his accomplished professional boxing career, paying homage to one of his best ever rivals. Speaking to The Ring Magazine, Hagler spoke fondly of Panamanian great Duran as he claims ‘Hands of Stone’ was the greatest opponent of his career. I would still say Roberto Duran [is the most skillful]. I would say Roberto Duran was [the best overall]. Similar to Hagler, Duran is often credited with being one of the greatest fighters of all time.
