Dallas organizations to host public hearing on immigration enforcement. Bright and early (to me) tomorrow morning, several groups will convene at Cathedral of Hope for what they’re calling the “People’s Hearing on Immigration Enforcement: Dallas.” It’s designed to be a public accounting of the enforcement practices, detention conditions, and impacts on Dallas families and communities, organizers say. Other speakers include Hispanic Federation president Frankie Miranda, Miranda Family Fund’s Luis Miranda, Latino Victory Project’s Katharine Pichardo, Noemi Rios with Vecinos Unidos DFW, El Movimiento’s Azael Alvarez, Rev. Eric Folkerth with CLEAR DFW, Latino Leaders Coalition’s Christian Diaz, and Ramiro Luna of Somos Tejas.
