Anantapur: VK Srivani, Director of GATES Engineering College, was unanimously elected to the 11-member Executive Committee of the Indian Red Cross Society, Anantapur District Branch. Following advisories from AP State Red Cross and District Collector/District Red Cross President O Anand (IAS), the committee was formed through consensus across two rounds of meetings to avoid electoral disputes. GATES College management—including VK Padmavatamma and MD Raghunath Reddy—congratulated Smt. Srivani on her selection. Srivani assured that she would work dedicatedly to strengthen the Red Cross Society’s humanitarian and youth welfare drives in the district.
