Anantapur: Emerging through a process of mutual consensus, the newly formed 11-member Executive Committee of the Indian Red Cross Society (Anantapur District Branch) officially took charge and paid a courtesy call on District Collector and Society President O Anand (IAS) at his office chamber on Wednesday. However, acting on advisories from Collector O Anand and the AP State Red Cross unit to avoid electoral disputes and uphold service values, representatives across panels held two rounds of consultative talks to unanimously choose an 11-member committee. Eight executive members—Dr K Lakshminarayana, MG Eranna, Dr O Manoranjan Reddy, Alambana Janardhan, Bhisathi Bharat, Dasari Bharat Kumar, VK Srivani, and Vishnupriya—took their oaths of office. Congratulating the incoming leadership, Collector O Anand praised the blend of experienced doctors, academics, business leaders, and social workers joining hands. The office bearers assured full dedication to community welfare programs across Anantapur.
