New Delhi: Three people have been apprehended and 384 rolls of banned Chinese manjha seized in separate operations across Delhi as police intensified crackdown on the illegal sale of the hazardous kite string, officers said on Wednesday. A team of the outer district police arrested a man and seized 300 rolls of banned Chinese manjha from his possession and a storage facility, they said. During questioning, the accused allegedly disclosed that he had stocked a large quantity of Chinese Manjha at a building in Nilothi Extension. In another set of operations, teams of the northeast district police apprehended two persons and seized 84 rolls of banned Chinese manjha. At Jyoti Nagar, the police raided a shop in Ashok Nagar following specific information and found 80 rolls of the banned string.
