Asifabad: Factionalismwithin the Asifabad Congress party has escalated significantly, causing the party’s postion in the district in bad shape.
Regarding allocation of posts, the state leadership prioritised individuals who had joined from other parties, leaving the original party workers deeply dissatisfied with the leadership.
The cadre has split into factions supporting DCC president Athram Suguna, constituency in-charge Shyam Naik, and former DCC president Vishwa Prasad, with members openly criticising each other on social media.
Party cadres were unable to come to terms with the state leadership’s failure to grasp the ground realities.
Factionalism among leaders and the state leadership’s negligent attitude have further deteriorated the party’s situation.
