Two Calgary doctors worry global cuts to HIV programs could lead to a potential "resurgence of the HIV epidemic," which could have implications across Canada, including in Alberta. They've formed a national consortium to come up with preventative solutions before it's too late, named the Canadian Strategic Consortium to Address the Changing Policies and Environment of Global HIV Care (CanSCAPE-HIV). "And so that increases the urgency of them linking to care programs here in Canada because we want to prevent gaps in HIV care."
