HURON – A new event organized by the United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) will not only raise much-needed funds but will also allow motorcyclists the chance to see the beauty of Huron County. UWPH is hosting a United We Ride motorcycle charity ride on Saturday, Sept. 19, a day-long event that will start in Wingham and culminate with a celebration at Grand Bend Stirling Sands Vineyards. Riders will start at the Maitland River Community Church in Wingham, with check-in at 9 a.m., and the ride beginning with staggered starts an hour later. There will be scheduled stops during the self-guided, 150-kilometre ride, and riders will receive a map and will be greeted by volunteers along the way. The Goderich legion will host a lunch which is open to everyone (for purchase), and then riders will eventually make their way south to Stirling Sands Vineyards beside the Huron Country Playhouse.
