Mach Devices announces open-source mini-synth, MD-7
[]
DJ Mag
Mach Devices has announced a new open-source mini-synth, the MD-7.
The rotary controls use Field-Oriented Control Motors (FOC), which means that they provide variable resistance that changes depending on the parameter that's being altered.
The pocket synth's firmware platform, including its DSP engine and sequencer, is intended to be open-source and available for modification on GitHub.
Connectivity is handled by two USB-C ports — one for charging and the other for MIDI, audio out and USB mic input.
