Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved the release of ₦4 billion for the second phase of the Community Development Programme (CDP), alongside key interventions in women’s empowerment, education, business reforms and water supply. Kabir said the approval followed the successful implementation of the programme’s first phase and would enable Community Development Committees to continue executing projects that directly benefit their communities. On women’s empowerment, Dr Zango announced that the Council approved the state’s 2026 counterpart funding for the Nigeria for Women Project. “The approval reinforces the administration’s determination to empower women economically, promote financial inclusion and improve household livelihoods across Katsina State,” he stated. The approvals underscore the Katsina State Government’s commitment to grassroots development, women’s empowerment, quality education, economic reforms and improved access to safe water.
