Fire crews responded to a blaze that started in a garage and spread to a house. Crews from several stations, including the command unit from Northwich and two engines from the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, attended the incident, which happened at a property located on Hale Road, Hale. A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were called at around 10.30pm on August 4. The fire started in a garage, containing a car, before spreading to a nearby property. Firefighters tackled the blaze wearing breathing equipment, as they used extinguishing equipment in a bid to put the fire out.
