Special to IFNRALEIGH — The N.C. 911 Board, which operates under the N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT), has launched a statewide public service announcement campaign to raise awareness of text‑to‑911. This critical service allows residents to reach emergency responders by text message when calling 911 is not possible or safe.
