BY DONNA SWICEGOODA Mooresville police officer has been charged with accessing the department’s license plate reader (LPR) system for personal use. Police Chief Ron Campurciani said Snowman accessed the LPR system 31 times for personal use and was untruthful about her reasons for looking up the data. The arrest was the result of an audit of the license plate reader system. “She accessed the computers, the LPR cameras, to find information and track her boyfriend’s ex-wife,” the chief said. Campurciani said this case not be the end of the issues with officers accessing the cameras for personal use.
