An oil spill response firm owned by global oil and gas companies and an international engineering group will bring around around 80 workers to an office building on Aberdeen’s main thoroughfare. Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) and Montreal-based AtkinsRéalis have have become the latest organisations to move to Aurora Aberdeen, owned by real estate developer the SRE Group. OSRL was founded in 1984 and has supported members through more than 400 spill incidents worldwide since then. The SRE Group led a £5 million refurbishment the former Caledonian House at the corner of Union Street and Union Row into Aurora Aberdeen into Grade A office space. Andrew Low, director at AtkinsRéalis, said the firm had been looking for space “in the heart of the city”.
