Twenty-three students from Westmoreland, Allegheny, Fayette and Somerset counties are learning from performing arts professionals this week at the Palace Theatre in downtown Greensburg. The Westmoreland Cultural Trust is hosting its second annual Broadway to the Palace Artist Retreat, inviting students to learn from Tony- and Grammy-nominated actor Micaela Diamond and Broadway music director Emily Marshall. The students, ranging from age 13 to 28, will train with Diamond, Marshall and other performing arts professionals through Friday. Students will participate in a showcase with Diamond and Marshall on Saturday to highlight what they have learned. The performance will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Palace Theatre at 21 W. Otterman St.
