Overview: Haiti's Provisional Electoral Council entered the second week of voter registration with operations opening in the West Department, where registration remains limited to Pétion-Ville, Delmas and Tabarre because of insecurity.
PORT-AU-PRINCE — Haiti’s Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) entered the second week of voter registration Monday with operations continuing without major disruptions, including in parts of the West Department that were initially excluded because of security concerns.
“This does not mean there will be only 10 registration centers in the West,” CEP President Jacques Desrosiers said during the process launch.
Final results and installations are expected by March 12, 2027, which would end a decade without national elections.
