The staple Farmfest gubernatorial and U.S. Senate debates were held Wednesday afternoon, offering the last public forum of candidates before the primary election on Tuesday. This year’s gubernatorial debate featured DFL frontrunner Amy Klobuchar and three GOP candidates, Mike Lindell, Lisa Demuth and Kendall Qualls. Topics discussed during the debate included fraud, property taxes, immigration enforcement and other key issues central to Minnesota. Senate candidates invited to the event included DFLers Peggy Flanagan and Angie Craig and the GOP’s Royce White and Michele Tafoya. The primary election, which will allow voters to put forth a party’s candidate for consideration, is set to take place on Tuesday.
