When Prime Video put out its first look at live-action Kratos on February 27, most of the pushback came down to mass. Bautista as Kratos is not signed, not announced, and not acknowledged by Amazon MGM Studios or Sony Pictures Television. Ronald D. Moore’s adaptation currently has a two-season order from Prime Video, four episodes already shot, and nobody playing the lead. Prime Video ordered two seasons up front regardless, cameras rolled in February, and that first-look image landed the same month. If the negotiation collapses in September, who is Prime Video calling in October?
