By Reader StaffLocal organizations focused on access to the arts and supporting human rights received $94,300 in grants from the Idaho Community Foundation, with awards drawn from the community-created Bonner County Fund for Arts Enhancement and Bonner County Endowment for Human Rights. The Fund for Arts Enhancement targets philanthropy toward education, access and community connection. The 2026 recipients, who were awarded a combined $75,000, include: theArts Alliance, Carousel of Smiles, Festival at Sandpoint, Kaniksu Land Trust, Lake Pend Oreille School District, Memorial Community Center, Music Conservatory of Sandpoint and Pend Oreille Arts Council. The Endowment Fund for Human Rights supports projects that “affirm the dignity and worth of every person, promote community education around bias and prejudice, and celebrate racial, social and cultural diversity in Bonner County.” For more information about ICF grant opportunities, visit idahocf.org.
