A fatal single-engine aircraft crash remains under investigation after emergency responders located the wreckage in rural Harrison County, Missouri, on August 4. At approximately 6:54 p.m., the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Federal Aviation Administration of a possible aircraft crash believed to have occurred north of Bethany in rural Harrison County. Deputies responding to the area discovered smoke near Highway 69 and 245th Street. After entering a nearby field, they located a single-engine aircraft that had crashed into a grove of trees. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board continue to investigate the crash.
