Storm damage caused multiple power outages and disrupted trash collection across portions of north Missouri on Wednesday, August 5. Grundy Electric Cooperative reported at approximately 8:10 a.m. that power outages were affecting the Lineville and Cleopatra areas. By 10:30 a.m., the online Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives outage map showed 96 Grundy Electric Cooperative member-consumers without power in Mercer County. That total included 19 served by Grundy Electric Cooperative and five served by Tri-County Electric Cooperative. The online Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives outage map reported 22 Southwest Iowa Rural Electric Cooperative member-consumers without electricity in Decatur County.
