The Trenton R-9 School District has scheduled a series of open houses later this month to help students and their families prepare for the upcoming academic year. Rissler Elementary School will welcome preschool through first-grade students and their families on August 19 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. A separate open house for second- through fourth-grade students will be held August 20 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.During both elementary open house events, families will be able to tour the school, meet classroom teachers, and drop off school supplies before the start of classes. Trenton Middle School will host an open house for sixth-grade students on August 19 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.Fifth-grade students will attend a meeting in the gymnasium on August 19 at 5 p.m. After the meeting, students will receive their class schedules and meet with teachers through 6:15 p.m.A second Trenton Middle School open house is scheduled for seventh- and eighth-grade students on August 20 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.At Trenton High School, a meeting for freshmen parents will be held in the Performing Arts Center on August 19 at 5 p.m. Freshmen students will then tour the building, receive class schedules, and prepare for the new school year from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.An open house for sophomores, juniors, and seniors will be conducted at Trenton High School on August 20 from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Classes for students throughout the Trenton R-9 School District will begin on August 25.
