Lenox — Tanglewood on Parade brought together music, arts, and culture from across generations and traditions on Tuesday, August 4. The Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, and Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra all took part in performances, along with the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI), Festival Latino, and other performers. The event was not only a celebration of music and culture, but of Tanglewood itself. Tanglewood supports music at all levels, and not just the big names that go up on stage. “For many of us, Tanglewood is sacred, hallowed ground,” said Justin Casinghino, director of the Young Artists Composition Program at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
