A nursing program running with two local students in Castor has reached a milestone with the conclusion of its first year. NorQuest College is offering the practical nurse program in partnership with Paintearth Community Adult Learning (PCAL) and Paintearth County. With the success of the health care aide program, the course offerings in Paintearth County expanded to include a practical nurse program in January 2025. Applications are now open for a third cohort of the practical nurse program, set to begin in September. County residents successfully completing the practical nurse program beginning in September will also be eligible for the $5,000 bursary at the end of their first year and at the conclusion of the program.
