The Will County Community Health Center (WCCHC) celebrates National Health Center Week 2026, August 2-8. Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors National Health Center Week (NHCW) to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,500 Community Health Centers (CHCs) and the essential role they play in improving public health and providing Americans equal opportunity to access critical healthcare services. As part of National Health Center Week, the Will County Community Health Center and Will County Health Department will host a Stakeholder’s Appreciation Day on Friday, August 7, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the Will County Community Health Center in Joliet (1106 Neal Ave.). The event will feature brief remarks from Will County Health Department Executive Director Elizabeth Bilotta, Will County Community Health Center CEO Stacy Baumgartner, Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, U.S. Representative Lauren Underwood and State Representative Dagmara Avelar. The WCCHC provides a wide variety of health services for the Will County community.
