The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin accepting applications for the fall 2026 round of the agency’s Cost Share Program Monday, Aug. 17.
A portion of that leftover cost savings will now be used for Cost Share, with the maximum project award amount increased to $1.5 million this round.
“KDOT’s Cost Share Program improves transportation, creates economic growth and increases job opportunities across Kansas,” said Michelle Needham, Economic Development Programs Manager.
“Past Cost Share participants have proven this program to be the financial boost that communities of all sizes needed to achieve their project goals.”
All transportation projects are eligible, including roadway (on and off the state system), rail, airport, bicycle/pedestrian and public transit.
