August 5, 2026 — Breakside Brewery, one of Portland’s most award-winning breweries, today announced the release of its newest year-round beer, Breakside West Coast IPA, now available in 12oz 6-pack cans and on draft at all Breakside locations and throughout the brewery’s distribution channels. Over the past 15 years, the West Coast IPA style has evolved away from aggressive bitterness and a loud presentation to be drier, lighter, more aroma-focused, and refined in bitterness. “Our new Breakside West Coast IPA is not the IPA that got your parents into craft beer, but it might be the one that makes you reconsider everything you think about IPA.” This beer is also the first to debut Breakside’s refreshed 12oz can design, which features Breakside prominently up front and rolls out across the core lineup this fall. Breakside is worker-owned and operates eight locations across Oregon and Washington, including taprooms in Portland, Milwaukie, Lake Oswego, Astoria, Beaverton, Dundee, and Vancouver, WA.
