Norfolk CC has named Dennis Bacon as its preferred candidate for its chief executive role. Mr Bacon’s previous roles include 19 years as the chairman for the Norfolk Independent Care Association, and being an executive member of the Norfolk & Waveney Sustainability & Transformation Partnership. The chief executive role became vacant in June when Tom McCabe, announced he was leaving the council at short notice after seven and a half years. In July, the authority named its director of legal services and monitoring officer, Kat Hulatt, as interim chief executive. David Bick (Ref), leader of Norfolk CC, said: “We were impressed with Dennis’s commercial and public sector experience, and his determination to lead the changes required at Norfolk CC to ensure value for money and quality services for the residents of Norfolk.”
