Samsung, during the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra‘s launch event and in its promotional material, highlighted the upgrades the device brings over the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but it didn't talk about every aspect of the phone. No, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra does not feature a vapor chamber for cooling. Samsung used a vapor chamber in previous Fold models up to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but switched to graphite sheets with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, most likely to make the device thinner. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra continues to use the same graphite-based cooling solution. Similarly, in our review of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which uses the graphite-based cooling solution, we found that the device didn't heat up much even during demanding tasks such as gaming.
