Every summer, there comes a point when the novelty of holiday dressing starts to wear off. Dressing for summer is, after all, something of an endurance sport, and sometimes going back to basics is exactly the tactic required. But I’m with Alexa: it’s perfectly acceptable to skip the Slim Aarons fantasy altogether. And the same applies on holiday: just because you’ve boarded a flight doesn’t mean your preferred LBD is an inappropriate choice of outfit.
