Investing.com -- BQP, a developer of quantum-accelerated simulation software, and drone manufacturer Modovolo have completed a commercial deployment that compressed the design cycle for Modovolo's next-generation unmanned aerial systems, Investing.com has learned. According to details seen by Investing.com, the platform runs on the QuantumNOW solver engine, which is said to apply quantum-inspired algorithms to existing high-performance computing and GPU infrastructure. Conventional computational fluid dynamics and structural optimization tools restrict engineers to a handful of design variations, which can result in functional but unoptimized hardware. However, BQPhy has now given Modovolo the computational muscle to explore a substantial number of design variables at once.
