More than 30,000 passports were issued in Malta during the first six months of 2026, newly published figures from Identità Malta show. Between January and June, the Passport Office issued 30,107 passports, along with 89 Emergency Travel Documents and 167 Documents of Identity. The figures offer a glimpse into the workload handled by the Passport Office during the first half of the year, with thousands of people applying for travel and identity documents.
