Thermal imagery is technology that has been around for many years. ADVERTISEMENTOur office has had handheld thermal technology for several years. In recent years, with improvements to technology, we have been able to add mounted thermal imaging cameras to our squad cars. Thermal imagery gives us vision capabilities that we don’t have without it. We also have drones with thermal imaging cameras so we can combine thermal technology on the ground and in the air when searching areas.
