The supermarket chain has identified Hereford as a priority location for growth in its latest expansion drive. The retailer already operates a site on Eign Street in the city centre but would like to open a second location. Aldi said that bringing a store to the area would create new jobs and improve access to “affordable, high-quality food” for more communities. The supermarket said it is the highest-paying supermarket in the UK, with store assistants earning from £13.50 per hour nationally, rising further with length of service. Aldi is calling on anyone with a site that meets its requirements to contact the company’s real estate team at realestateacquisitions@aldi.co.uk
