Neston man admits possessing thousands of indecent images of children

Appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 4, Liam Hulley, 36, entered guilty pleas to three offences of making indecent photographs / pseudo-photographs of a child and one of possessing indecent photographs / pseudo-photographs of a child.
The court heard that between July 16 2023 and August 19 2025, Hulley, of Frobisher Road, Neston, possessed 280 Category A images of children, 348 Category B images of children and 2,199 Category C images of children.
Category A images are deemed the most serious and can include penetrative acts, sadism, bestiality, or physical harm.
A pre-sentence report was requested and Hulley was committed to Crown Court for sentencing on conditional bail.
He will appear for sentencing at Chester Crown Court on September 15 2026.
