Up to nine homes could be built in the open countryside on land west of Wrenbury Road at Aston near Nantwich, writes Belinda Ryan.
Propsco has applied for permission in principle for the properties on a 0.56-hectare parcel of land at the junction of the A530 Whitchurch Road and Wrenbury Road.
Access to the site is proposed off Wrenbury Road where a new footway would also be constructed along the site’s frontage linking to the one which already exists.
The application is for ‘permission in principle’ (PIP) – a two-stage mechanism for obtaining planning approval for housing development.
It points out that, following the government’s revision of the housing target numbers, Cheshire East is currently unable to demonstrate a five-year housing land supply.
