Tony Evers has ordered flags in Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff on August 10 to honor Eau Claire firefighter Bryce A. Jungbluth, from Hayward, who died after a sudden medical emergency. He joined the Eau Claire Fire Department in June 2026 after serving four years with the Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department in North Carolina. “We join the state of Wisconsin and the communities of Eau Claire and Hayward as they mourn the loss of a dedicated public servant. His passing leaves behind a void in the lives of all who had the privilege of working and serving alongside him.” A service for Jungbluth will be held August 10 in Hayward, and the executive order will keep flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset that day.
