(ABC 6 News) — Federal officials are in Mower County on Wednesday conducting damage assessments following the flooding that took place last month. FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration are joining local and state crews to inspect homes and businesses that were impacted by the widespread flooding. The Mower County Sheriff’s Office said these preliminary damage assessments help decide if residents can qualify for federal disaster aid.
