Chief superintendent Matt Kennerley, gold commander for the event, said: "First and foremost, our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the teenage girl who sadly died during the festival weekend. "Kendal Calling is one of the biggest events in Cumbria’s calendar and attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year. "I would also like to thank Kendal Calling organisers, emergency services, local authorities and local communities for their support and cooperation throughout the weekend. "Strong partnership working remains key to delivering a safe event of this scale." Mr Allen said: "I’d like to extend my thoughts to the family and friends of the young girl who sadly died at Kendal Calling.
