Much loved Nora Shovlin of Bavin in Kilcar died peacefully at home on Tuesday, surrounded by her loving family. A family notice said: “The peaceful death has occurred of Nora Shovlin, aged 106, at home, surrounded by her loving family. “Predeceased by her husband, Peter, her parents John and Bridget McBrearty, her brothers John Joe and Jim, and her grandson Declan. “Reposing at her late residence today [Wednesday] until Rosary at 9pm and tomorrow from 12 noon until Rosary at 9pm. Removal from her home on Friday to arrive at St Cartha’s Church for funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial in the local cemetery.”
