British boxer Raven Chapman is recovering after undergoing emergency brain surgery and spending almost two weeks in an induced coma following a serious injury sustained during sparring. The 32-year-old collapsed after a training session in Denmark on July 24 and was taken by air ambulance to hospital, where doctors diagnosed a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema. Chapman underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and reduce swelling before being placed in an induced coma to aid her recovery. In an update released by her team, doctors have now started reducing her sedation as treatment continues. Queensberry also issued its own statement, saying: 'Everyone at Queensberry is devastated to hear about our former fighter Raven Chapman.
