Jo Bryant, 47, won the best small colour tattoo at the 2026 Great Western Tattoo Show, an annual convention that takes place at the end of July in the Great Western Railway museum. Jo said: "I wasn’t going to enter the competition originally, I was just going to tattoo at the event. The judges award two prizes to each category, inspecting each tattoo up close, sometimes even with torches. Jo has owned her own tattoo shop, The Wakkie Ink Co, since 2011 and specialises in abstract, full colour designs. "From the first time I picked up that tattoo machine, I knew it was what I was meant to do."
