Meanwhile, the Dodge Intrepid was discontinued to make room for the 2005 Magnum sport wagon and 2006 Dodge Charger. Although a totally unique design with no parts shared with the Merc, the Chrysler platform featured a very similar suspension layout. Nevertheless, for those of us who remember the 1990s, the cab-forward exterior design and proven, French-inspired engineering of the LH platform remain very nostalgic.
