Partner organizations gave a final presentation about the Blue River Wildfire Ready Watershed Action Plan in Dillon on July 29. The Blue River Watershed Group worked with several contractors, including JW Associates , Stillwater Sciences , the Keystone Policy Center and ICON Engineering to find areas of susceptibility. The watershed group and its partners have completed the Blue River action plan, and watershed group executive director Vanessa Logsdon wrote in an email that it will be posted online once it receives final approval from the state water conservation board’s technical team. Brad Piehl, a watershed planner with JW Associates, said the action plan has identified 167 potential projects. The presenters reviewed next steps for the action plan, including getting final approval from the state water conservation board’s technical team.
