“I didn’t know anyone in my family with breast cancer or anyone close to me.
What followed was a series of medical appointments and a diagnosis of grade three aggressive, hormone-positive breast cancer.
After a hug and cup of tea, Ms Rodman was introduced to breast cancer nurse Leah Marinovich.
That is why she is supporting Breast Cancer Care WA’s Purple Bra Day campaign, which is urging people to fundraise or donate to support West Australians facing breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Care WA’s campaign runs until September 16, with people encouraged to hold a Purple Bra Day fundraiser any day before then.
